WHAT WE DO | SERVICE DELIVERY
Extending services beyond health
facilities through digital technology
and outreach services.
Responsive Pathways to Primary Health Care
EWF works with governments and partners to deliver services that extend quality health care beyond brick-and-mortar facilities. We use technology, outreach and the community health workforce to increase access for the under-reached, recognizing that primary health care of the future will be technology-enabled and ever more responsive to the needs of every person. Responsive systems are improving access to health and diagnostic services and demonstrating their readiness to adapt to communities’ changing needs.
When a Phone Line is a Life Line
People living in remote communities lack timely and reliable access to health information and services. In some communities, families live up to 10 kilometers from the closest health facility, and because of workforce shortages, consultations with health workers are often only a few minutes. The Telehealth (formerly Health Center by Phone) solution was developed to bring health information and services to the patient – both increasing their access to health care and reducing the volume of patients at health facilities.

Let’s Talk About Vaccines
Because caregivers and health workers know best what barriers they face and how to address them, we seek to amplify their voices via the Let’s Talk About Vaccines! project. Our participatory approaches give caregiver researchers and health workers the opportunity to participate in the identification, implementation and evaluation of community-driven solutions to reduce routine immunization dropouts in Cameroon and Madagascar
